It is now September and students are going back to school. Even though the names of the months and the numbers on the calendar don’t closely correlate with the weather, on the first day of September the temperature suddenly dropped.
It is just a coincidence but the weather changing and the first day after summer vacation aligning feels special.
I am from Minnesota in America. It is on the border, right below Canada. The winters there can be extremely cold averaging around -10°C in January. I am used to cold weather, so the hot and humid Tokyo summers are really hard for me. I spend most of my summer under the AC on max and soaking many T-shirts with sweat when I go out.
With the heat hopefully gone for good this year, I am getting excited for all the good food and hot drinks that come along with autumn.
