「らくがき」can be said in a few different ways in English. Each way has a slightly different meaning. When you are sitting in class at school or sitting in on an important meeting at work, your mind begins to wonder. So, what do you do? You start to “doodle.”
Doodling is fun and we are all guilty of doodling during class when we were younger. Doodling normally doesn’t have a purpose; you just do it for fun. Another word for doodling is “sketching.” However, sketching is lightly drawing something when you want to do art. There is also “graffiti,” which is the type of drawings you see on a building, bathroom wall, train, or bridge. Normally, graffiti is painted without permission.
